Title: Wing mirror parts - please move to wanted section
Post by: Grrrrrr on 24 April 2010, 11:57:48
Some little scrotes decided to vandalise my near-side wing mirror during the week. I think I can get away with just new glass and the plastic casing at the back. Question is: is there anyone near Aylesbury who might have some spare parts kicking around for a 2001 facelift CDX saloon?

Unfortunately don't have enough posts to put this in the parts section.

Cheers.

J

PS. For those wanting a laugh. The local Vauxhall stealers have just quoted £78 for the plastic back and the replacement glass plus a further £17 for a can of paint. Unbelievable.

If heated, the glass on its own is around £50  :-?

I have a passenger side facelift elite mirror - but its gold, and the elite feedback circuits are lazy (not a problem for non-elites, but may not work to reliably with memory functions).

£20 (collected) - if you can use any bits (glass is in tact, may be able to respray the plastics?)

Are you around this Tuesday? Could drop by on my way back from Northampton and see if it's the same. Ideally I'd just take the backing and the mirror but can take the lot if need be.

Cheers,

J

Should be back by 6pm, but really dependent on the state of the M6 from Manchester (I'm hoping not to have to go up there)

OK. Will drop you a text / call before I set off. Couldn't make it before 18:30 anyway.

Cheers,
