Title: Busy day tomorrow...
Post by: Nickbat on 04 August 2007, 20:55:27
Got fed up with the hall cupboard (see earlier fishy thread  ;D ;D). I've done the frame and the shelves, just need to do the doors and the sanding/varnishing. Actually the doors will take ages as I need to cut them from sheets of timber.

Tomorrow is cambelt day. I've got the Vx kit, plenum seals and TB's locking kit.

I want to do the breathers as well, but forgot to get the seal for the Ecotec plastic thingy, so I'll just concentrate on the pipes. Is it sensible to fire some carb cleaner down the plenum when it's off, just to give it a partial clean?

Any hidden surprises with the 2.6 (I've done a 2.5 before)?

I'll get started early. I wanted to watch the Hungarian GP, but may have to set the DVD to record it as I doubt I'll be done in time.

Yep, I agree although Ron Dennis was trying to put a different slant on it (see itv-f1.com). Personally, I reckon that once the lollipop goes up the driver HAS to go immediately (except if pit lane traffic prevents this).

BTW, why do you blame me for everything? Did I buy up all the colour fill in B&Qs in South Wales?  >:(

Well, yes I did actually just to annoy you. ;D ;D ;D ;D

I'll get shot of them on Ebay. ;) ;D

Yes i read the Ron Dennis statemnet on website..Total rubbish,,Alonso and his crew knew exactly what they were doing a rookie like Hamilton coming in and upsatging the Champion is not easy to take i admit but to revert to dirty tricks like that he should be starting at least 10th in my opinion.. Well done to Lewis though i think he is a future world champion if not this year,,but..I see old Shumacher coming back next year and then the action will satrt..

Even if he is a bit arrogant he is a top driver and Hamilton is like for like for Shumacher i would like to see him back racing.. :y

PS.. Send me some colourfill in white... ;D ;D ;D

A tortoise would also be quicker.

Which reminds me:

A tortoise was mugged by a snail. When he reported the crime the police asked him for a description of the snail. He said "Sorry, I can't help you, it all happened too quickly".  ;D ;D

OK, so shoot me! ;D

Which reminds me:

A guy goes to work in the City every day on a camel

One day, the camel is stolen.

He goes the police.

OK, sir, can you describe your camel?

Well, errr, no not really.

Come now, sir, what colour is it?

Ermmm, dunno, can't say I've ever noticed.

OK, sir, has it got one hump or two?

Ermmm. No, you've got me stumped there. Couldn't say for sure.

Sir, is there anything about this camel that can help us identify it?

Well, I know it's female.

You do? How do you know that?

Well, the other day, I was going to work down the City Road and I heard a guy shout out "Oi, look at the ***t on that camel!"

Boom, boom!  ;D
