Title: Cambelt change progress report
Post by: Nickbat on 05 August 2007, 12:38:03
OK, I've had a problem with disconnecting the MAF sensor, so in the end I just left it in situ and took out the rest of the multi ram. Everything else basically OK, except pulleys which were seized on (probably due to the fact the car was laid up for so long). My neighbour has supplied me with cheese sarnies and a cuppa, so I 'm having a break while I consider overcoming the next big hurdle: that sodding lower aux belt tensioner bolt. Bloody cable tray is in the way so getting a socket on is no easy task.  :(

Can't see how to take that part of the cable tray off - front section was easy.

its supported by a bracket on the bottom aux belt tensioner bolt! Just pop it out of the bracket, and it'll be freeee!

Thanks, James. I'll just watch the opening lap or two of the GP and I'll be onto it  :y
