your best bet and cheapest is to buy a cheap 3.0 elite and break it for the bits you need. by the time you source all the bits and add on postage it will cost you double.  8-)

Automatic 3.2 should have a 3.90 diff fitted. This gives 26 MPH/1K RPM. The same diff with a manual box would give shorter gearing. About 22 MPH/1K RPM according to this:

If you want to maintain the original gearing a 3.70 diff might be a better match. I think this is what the 3.0 Manual had.

It is geared a little long for my liking in auto form, so might be worth trying with the 3.90 diff first?

I wonder what gave a Senator 29mph / 1000rpm considering they both used an AR35 gearbox  :-/

Mark, have you seen this on ebay?

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=160501761484&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT

Not my car, nor do I know the seller...but it seems the best option, buy the complete vehicle take the parts you need and break the rest, or put the auto stuff into it and sell it on afterwards.

Looks a cracking bargain for someone josh, but unfortunatly i cant go down that route,as i have nowhere to keep the car anyway, plus dident fancy the extra messing about, especially in the cold weather. ::) :y
