Title: Wanted: INFO DISPLAY
Post by: Road Hog Mad on 23 March 2011, 19:31:25: PM me with a price including P&P to UK, I think the info display I need is the old type it has two plugs at the back and three bulbs light it up.

My current one has a pixel problem and my mate can't read it.

As said, the back of the info display takes a big plug and a small plug and has three bulbs in the back.

It doesn't say 'brakelight check' when you start the car up, it just lights up the bottom right 'check' light and goes off when you press the foot brake.

trying to recall the serial number / model no. on the back, 7777 something.....

Post by: MutantCav on 25 March 2011, 21:44:22: Mini facelift came in about mid Sept 97 just at the beginning of the R reg...of course there will be some cars made before mini facelift registered after that...but basically the plug on the back of the MID changed from black and yellow to a single grey one for the mini facelift models...the black and yellow plugged MID's are generally the only ones that have the pixel problem...

the head restraints in this one have holes in them

Post by: sjc on 31 March 2011, 20:49:15: Ok, got the one off my car. The numbers on the back are 7777-4994, GM 90379234. It has 2 sockets on the back, a large 26 pin yellow one and a small 12 pin black one and 2 lights.

Does this sound like the one you're after? You said yours has 3 lights, can you check?
