This is my first venture into breaking a car,so I have done a bit of research on the forum and ebay to get an idea on prices.
If some prices seem over the top (or far too cheap) I dont mind a bit of advice. ;)
Havent started stripping the car yet and will initially pull bits of as requests are made. I am keeping the headlights/ washers and probably the seats and doorcards for my own car, but other than that most bits are available.
Prices are for parts collected. Will post other smallish parts for agreed price plus what it costs to post them.
I live about 5 minutes away from the Essex meet venue, so can bring parts to the Essex meet for anyone who is attending.
Some easy to take off bits first......
Climate panel in perfect condition £20
Rear light clusters - £10 each
Auto dimming mirror - £20
Boot lid with Prodrive spoiler £45
4 x camshafts with inlet plate £100
Any other parts needed just drop me a PM.
Will be keeping the wheels on the car until its ready for the scrappy, so that I can move it around, as space is very tight on my drive.

Im not sure what the heads are worth tbh James, although I think it may be best to sell them as a pair. I will do a bit of research on the price and get back to you. :y
Is it the 3.2 heads which have the sodium filled valves ?
As a general comment - I plan on putting a battery on the car to check out the electrical components hopefully tomorrow.

Ok yeah let me know if it's a goer :y
-
I should add that I offered Josh first dibs on some parts before I even collected the car, so some of this may be dependant on that. Josh should be letting me know what he needs very soon, hopefully tonight. ;)
-
Now sorted with Josh, and what he wants doesnt clash with what anyone else has already asked for (I think).
Please be patient with me, as I have been inundated with PM,s today. I will try to keep a note of exactly who wants what, but if you recieve a wiper blade instead of an Ecu just let me know and I will sort it. ::) ;D
If I havent replied to you Im not being ignorant, just a bit muddled. Shout again but a bit louder this time. ;) :D

You don't happen to have the full centre console armrest assembly do you Albs? (Mine being an ex-plod has got the one that looks like it came out of a Carlton, so would need the full lot that then bolts down onto the centre console itself).
If so, what kind of nick is it in, and how much are you after?
Cheers :y
-
I do have the console/armrest, but the wood trim from the gear selector surround is gone. Also there is some wear on the soft rubber area between the armrest and the vent.
If your still interested I can take some pics and post them up. I need to do that with some parts in the next day or two anyway.
Postage would probably be a fair bit for that I would imagine. :-/
-
It's just the armrest bit I'm after - not the full console itself. So the part that you rest your elbow on, that you can open up, and lift up that shows the cup-holders, and has the vents and 12v power supply on the back :y
Not sure if you have the "bag-pipes" too, that provides air to the vents in the back :-/ Great if you have - but not sure how collasable they are for postage? :-/
-
I will take a pic of it as soon as I get a chance and post it up for you to have a look. I will be keeping the little panel with the heated seat switches in though, as I need it for my own car.
Having said that, I should be able to replace that with the one from my car, but it wont have the seat switches in.
I will have a look at the air pipe thing - dont know what it looks like tbh, and see how big it is etc for posting. :y
-
Cheers Albs :y
Aye, not too bothered about the heated seats switches for the back - just got poverty-spec seats in at the mo. Leather is a job for the future, so can worry about the switches then, but as long as it's got some panel on the back, that's fine matey. Oh, and would need the fixing screws too (that hold the armest in place) if you don't mind - our glorious boys in blue use different fixing screws, but fortunately the hole aren't visible with the standard armrest in place.
As for the wear - I'm not too bothered if it's something that's not too noticable, or can be cockpit-shine'd out :y
Do you have a price in mind at all??
-
Pm incoming. :y
-
And replied :y

You do know that you need to do a little more than that to get heated rear seat don't you mate? :D ;D :-X
Only kidding buddy! You haven't forgotten about the bits we discussed for me have you? :-/
-
I do know yeah, Ive done the job before on my old 2.5. ;) ::) :D
I have made a note of them, and will be on it asap. ;)
-
Hi

If you change your mind about the seats, & no-one has dibs, I may well........ provided the drivers heat works :-/
Also, as & when you get ready to dispose of what's left, what are the rear shocks like? mine are a little floppy... :(

Hi Albs,
The Arm-Rest etc arrived today. I think you were quite critical with the description - it's miles better than you described, I'm made up with it! 8-)

Glad the armrest was OK for you. I try to be a bit cautious with descriptions, as some people have absolutely mint cars and are fussy about what they put on them, so its best to err on the side of caution imo.
Oh and you owe me another £50 for postage. :D ;D ;D
Rob, I will have you know that one of my eyes actually has almost decent sight left in it. :P ;D

AR35 autobox, complete with torque converter - £65.

albs interested in the bootlid with spolier attatched if it is good condition, i will be working in staines next week so should be able to pop over and collect it mate :y
-
It is in pretty good condition. No damage etc. anywhere.
It has a few small scratches in the lacquer so could maybe do with a machine polish to remove them, if you want it to look mint.
I took some pics of it today but they came out crap tbh. If your interested drop me a PM. :y
