Post by: Martin_1962 on 10 August 2007, 19:32:32
Driven this in two weeks, went to Purbeck - very expensive, dropped a few leaflets, then Cornwall for most of the time, dropped spme more there, then finished up at Lyme Regis

Cornwall is definately best

Cornwall has nice beeches, but for driving road pleasure i prefer South Devon, there are some lovely roads and scenery.

Well the parking charges in Purbeck were horrendous - as was the site fee, New Forest was pretty, got onto Bournmouth beach 2 hours £1 per hour.

Cornwall was £2 all day park right next to the beach.

Lyme Regis was naff, was £4.70 at one CP for 2 hours, then found a better one for £1.60

£6.50 a night near LR and still in Devon!

Free in Cornwall

Axminster to Bath is a terrible route, A358 OK, A303 mad, A37 full of doddery old gits as was A361, A46 was good though - a real fast drive to Nailsworth - and a road I know a bit, only passed by two cars and caught them both up at lights.

Did get a road rage woman at Exeter - nearly took the front end off my car, I lost it and drove after her (to get reg to report to Police - however Sue said I would have to drag her off first!!!!) but gave up when I saw my speed, I am not mentioning it but I was speeding on a DC but would be just about OK on a French AutoRoute.

Came off on the A30 junction, there is one bit where it goes 2+2 to 4 lanes then to 3 I was in the lane which the outer lane merged into and I was not going fast as it was from a start.

It would have been her fault if I had T Boned her as I had the lane

Rsend looks a bit low in that first pic, is it lowered or have you got a spare engine in the boot?

I want to set fire to that van!

Still not sure I like the ironing board bolted to boot  :-/

One other thing, I notice towbar hides number plate a little - is that legal?

Just had a good holiday in that - and the bed is better than our house one!

Copy of the Irmsher design :o

I have been pulled before (foggy with no lights on the Police car) but it saves the plate from being bashed

I've thought of a great central heating idea, involving petrol and a match...
