Please note, this is the later spec system with the smaller sensors. :y
-
Surprised you havent sold it yet tbh. The sensors alone are approx. £65 + vat each from VX afaik. :-/
-
A new set of Bosch URF7 (new model) cost 140 euros... I was surprised too!
-
is this a plug and play kit? how would i get it working on my 2003 MV6, or perhaps my 2003 Astra?
-
incidentally is this URF4 or URF6 kit? does it come with the dash-switch with a harness specifically for the omega and does it need to be tech2 enabled? thanks
-
I removed one from my breaker, and iirc its fairly simple to install.Takes power from reversing light feed. Doesnt need tech2 etc. Just plug and play. Consists of control unit, speaker, sensors for bumper and wiring loom. The biggest part of the loom is the wiring to the four sensors. The rest of the wring is quite simple.Others may be able to help with more specific details on the wring.
Hope that helps.

I think you have Bosch URF4, it must have these parts ;) so , do you sell complete set? ;)

No, that is the older system with the bigger sensors. The system I have has the smaller sensors.
The difference can be seen here...

Congrats and damn it. lol. was going to ask if it'd fit a Vectra!
-
if you can find a similar unit (sorry!) then i can't see why not. if the ecu for the parking sensor kit is entirely self contained and just run from the feed from the reverse light etc then in theory you should be able to put it in any car at all.
-
It will work in any car. :y
Totally self-contained, only needing 1 wire to be spliced on the reversing light. The system is even listed on a Bosch website as being an aftemarket accessory... Not cheap though! ;) :y

Thanks for the info and humbucker if you don't want it please contact me!
Although I have found kits on ebay from £20!! er.... you pays your money or what?
Just got me a vectra estate and it's mahoosive. Think these sensors are a must!
-
I've read that most ebay kits are fine its just the sensors can be short in life and are usually quite big, protruding from the bumper rather than sitting flush but I guess you have to take each at face value. I think the latest non factory aftermarket one from Bosch is on offer about 130 quid but you can get the factory one for the vectra, it comes with a bespoke dash button to sit perfectly with all your interior. :y
