Okay a bit of fun
Got to be someone you know who has more money than sense - not nescessarily got to be a millionaire but obviously someone that has made a stupid stupid purchase....
I will go first. Clears throat....
I would like to nominate my Father - an ex senior policeman, retired, who is currently living with me whilst he builds his new house. Father has been the proud owner of many fab cars including a BMW 740SEI and Audi Quattro ( both in the 1990`s)
Today he has called me at to work to advise he has bought a brand new car ( mistake 1) :-[
And its 2.9 Diesel automatic Kia Sedona ( mistake 2) ::)
And he has payed £17000 ( mistake 3) :o

Ooooh that's sore Mark!!
My mate's ex-girlfriend has met a very wealthy 'entrepreneur'. He owns a Lamborghini! He lives somewhere in the midlands I believe and the last time she went to visit him they stayed in one of his static caravans, (he owns the caravan park.), it was for sale for £200,000. That's how he's so wealthy. They stayed in the caravan because he was having work done to his house.
Guess what he was having done?
Y're gonna love it!!!
I've dreamed of having something like this since I was a nipper............................Scroll down.
He's had a glass wall built between his living room and his garage so's he can look at his Lambo while lounign around of an evening!!!!!
-
;D ;D ;D ;D
That, in a different financial context, really takes the biscuit!!!

Good story Rod ;)

I've always wanted something like that since watching the 'Vegas' TV series.
Anyone remember Dan Tanner? :-[
He used to drive his Mustang convertible into his living room, jump out of it and straight onto his couch. Totally icebox!!
-
I think my Grandad has a good chance!!!!!.
Picture this :-
In his 70's, can hardly walk, and he looks just like Captain Birdseye. So last year he want and bought himself a new Black Nissan X-Trail and then he went and took it to the 'Pimp my ride garage'. Came back with Limo black Windows, New chrome rims, Chrome bull bar with extra driving lights,Chrome bit on top of the car( dunno what its called)with more lights, Chrome quarter bumpers front and rear, Chrome side runners, Chrome arches, chrome tail pipe and just for good measure a Chrome cap for his towbar. :o
TBH, I quite like it, but its not for my captain Birdseye ;D

...which to me makes much more sense than buidling a glass wall... why the glass?
I knew a man once who was into real old cars, he re-built a mid-twentees Austin-7, an 1936 Fiat Topolino, and some other cars at the time, what he did was knock down the wall beteen the living room and the garage so sitting in front of the telly in his (rather large, I must say) house you were only yards away from the car...

My daughter tells me that I've got more money than sense. :o
I recently spent £9000 on a 3 year old 3.2 Omega elite . ::)
She reckons if I'd spent a couple of grand on a penis enlargement I could've bought a smaller car and kept the change. :-[
I don't know what she means. ::)
Why does this system change Pen1s to thingy :question
Strange. :-? It does the same to d1ck and c0ck. Why is that? :-/

Cute!
If you catch it at the wrong angle on a sunny day, it'll fry your retinas in milliseconds.
I bet his Zimmer is lowered and debadged!

Well, although both are subject to depreciation, I would imagine you'd get a bit more for your Omega when you wanted to trade either in!!! ;D

Perhaps security, maybe the garage is climate controlled?
Actually I know why in all seriousness. Building regulations currently stipulate that you must have a dividing wall between your garage and living space. I found this out during the planning for our intended extension.
-
I can see that they probably don't want people to plan a 'garage', and then use it as an extension to the living room, but I bet they didn't think about where people wanting to use the living room as an extension of the garage... ;D
-
Well your living room would be full of exhaust fumes for a start! Then, when you arrive home at night, watching T.V. with the exhaust doing that cooling down ticking thing :D

Unless it ran on lpg ;)
Actually i thought it was a bit strange really when i first visited an lpg installer....he was setting up a car on lpg....revving it up/etc....all the garage doors and windows were shut :-? Then you realise safe as houses :D

And there's something to do with the floor of your garage being lower than the house where there's an connecting door - in case of fuel spillage (apparently)

It's good enough for fork lift trucks on lpg in food factories.

Ive had that for years between my front room and my fully equipped workshop.
We call it a front window, with alfresco workshop facilities.
Bolton council refer to it as the front street lol.
