Title: WANTED please - Battery securing bolt & bracket
Post by: SJKOO01 on 12 August 2011, 19:06:35
Are there any breakers on here that happen to have going spare, a good condition battery securing bolt and the battery securing bracket itself please.

Found out from the Mot that the bolt has snapped, so nothing holding battery on, manage to get it through with a rachet strap of all things!

If you can let me know how much you want + post - Thanks.

Cheers.

Have you managed to remove the busted bolt from the captive nut?

No not yet Rob.

Was going to drill through and then re-tap hole / captive nut if I can.
Not easy though as there is still a lot of bolt in the bottom of the nut and not easy to remove unfortunately  :-/

Same happened on mine. Drilled bolt out and used a bog standard nut & bolt. If you can`t get bolt out can`t you just drill another hole a few mm away and use that. Got a fairly new bracket you can have buckshee if you want
