Hi
Hoping this will be bumped to the Car Parts wanted section please. ::)
I have been sorting out the Old Black Beasties exhaust and now have a standard set-up throughout.
What I need is a full set of the clips that clip onto the rods from the chassis that stop the exhaust rubbers from eventually falling off - as I found out when the back box started to bounce along the top of the speed humps the other day. :-[
Not sure what they are called - e-clips or something ?
Think there are about 10 of them or so - but any amount will be useful.
Many thanks
Regards
Masters

I just asked my VX parts man - and was given a handful :y

My local Dealer is not so friendly. :(
Last time I was in there, they actually indicated that they were stopping stocking parts and everything had to come from a main area depo, so did not really want my custom directley for parts. :o

If it was a certain dealer in MK, they are bloody useless!
-
Yep - there the ones.

Should have a load of them lying around here.PM me your address and I will pop some in a jiffy bag and send them to you. ;)

Thats because your local dealer is the Milton Keynes branch of Evans Halshaw. Retards.

They are a right pain to get on and two kept popping off, I used jubilee clips in the end to stop the rubbers slipping off.

Reading this makes me so glad my local dealer is on the ball - the guy I deal with was just a lad when he started and I used to give him a hard time if he couldn't find what I was after within 5 minutes. He's like a brother to me now LOL! I just hope he never leaves!!!

Back to topic... They can be a pain to get on properly if the groove on the end of the rods has rusted up, but if you get the clip part way on then use it to clean the groove out by turning it round a good few times then they usually go on fine. It's only once they're fully on that the spring latch will catch the rod properly so they don't fall off again.
Part No 90 323 550 - used on almost all Vauxhalls from the 80's onwards.

Many thanks to all - Albs is kindly going to send some through and no doubt I will have fun gettng them clipped on. ::)
Thanks for all the advice.
Need to locate a further passenger side cat - last night I confirmed the resinating and metal pinging noise is coming from that. So will need to change that as well. :-[

And Albs can also supply that. ;) :)
