But i have a 1998 2.5 CDX since 2002 and apart from a bit of a niggle with the steering when i got it pattern whishbones fitted it as been relativly trouble free in all this time it as just started to develop a small oil leek from the pass side rocker cover awaiting to get it done was going to try to do it myself but all the gubbins on the top look a bit daunting and one of my local garages said cow of a job, cant do it go to main agent whoops no chance when i bought it a friend said yuve made a mistake they are crap but i can honestly say best car ive ever had not a scerick of trouble in all that time i do av it serviced regular oil changes every 5000 and it as repaid me ten fold looking forward to help if i need it from this great site but im north in Doncaster so dont know if anyone up here keep up the good work you extremley talented guys that spring up soon as anyone as a problem

Hi Kaycee, that was quite a hello! ;)
Many people view these cars poorly, and I am very pleased they do!
Opinions like those help keep the prices down, which means they become a bargain to us! :)
If it is only a small leak, try cleaning the breathers. That is a simple enough job (read Ronnies guide in the maintenance section). Remove the pressure causing the leak and you may be fortunate enough that the gasket re-seals.
Oh, and Doncaster? I am sure we have one or 2 people in your part of the world.
:)

Welcome to the site Robert :)

Welcome to site :)
Cam gaskets not that bad, but passenger side one is fiddly, and a second pair of hands comes in useful.
If a garage does it, ensure they fully clear breathers, else it will only leak again...
