Hi there,
yet another Omega enthusiast joining the fold. I currently drive an 02 CD auto. My previous Omega (95 2L GLS) died on the M62 last Xmas when it was -5deg outside, and by the time I got her home, got the head off, and saw a bit out the valve, I thought 'its time for a replacement'. I had hired an Agila, and it doesn't half make you appreciate the class ride of the Omega!. One day I was looking in a salvage site when I came across an Omega that had been 'paint strippered'. I don't know if it was just vandals, or something else, but here was a poor 02 CD with the paint damaged on all panels, a bit of a mess. However the price was £2300, so I bought it. I've still to get her painted; I asked most of the local paint shops and they all want about £2000 to respray her!. So if you see a 'cosmetically challenged' Omega on the M62 give me a toot!.

Hi Ken and welcome to the forum [smiley=thumbsup.gif] £2000 seems a bit pricy for a respray - you might be able to get some recommendations for somewhere cheaper on here.
