I'm having a very lazy morning as I overdone things in the garden yesterday and feeling the result now.....
Found this tastefully modified Omega (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1997-VAUXHALL-OMEGA-ELITE-AUTO-WHITE_W0QQitemZ330155804881QQihZ014QQcategoryZ9858QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem) while browsing. The one thing that jumped out at me was the sellers insistance that the miles are genuine. Somehow, I think not......
Caveat Emptor, if anyone here is bidding.... ;)

Well my old '95 Elite had genuine 74k before it's untimely end ::)
It has rotary dials :-?
-
I agree Bruce, that would have been decomissioned years ago, even if it was a "special" car and it had low miles through its working life, its been in civvy guise long enough to clock up miles....
Mind you both you and I have cars not a million miles from that sort of mileage... :-/ albeit civillian from day 1.
-
I tend to agree too but you never know :-/
-
Yep. Elite with an MV6 badge, no climate, GLS seats, non adjustable steering and ex-plod. What a gem!
-
If the miles ARE genuine, then I would be seriously looking for early and substantial crash damage.
70 odd K miles, round my way, means the car is about 12 to 18 months old and I know that other Forces have substantially higher miles than that.
Cars are not usually sold on until they have circa 120k plus miles or 3 years old, whichevers first.....
Nope, not for me :-X
-
humm hard to tell, looking at the usual suspects (gear stick, seat, steering wheel) they all look in good condition, no ovious wear....
so could well be!
-
Did plod use many auto's? :-/ I find the mileage highly unlikely to be genuine especially if you take into consideration it's had SEVEN owners :o
-
... could it not have been used as a
bumper car training vehicle?
-
Well i wouldnt buy it coz some numpty has fitted the steering wheel on upside down ::) ;D
