Title: Hi everybody!
Post by: bazzer on 03 May 2007, 23:13:14
Bought a lovely Elite 2.5 last week and thought I'd join this forum to share experiences in what is only my second (owned) Vauxhall. Those of you young enough will know what I am talking about when I tell you my first was a Victor 101 estate :-X!!! Have had the dubious pleasure of driving other Vauxhalls....some good :D, some bad >:(.
Having quickly looked around, it seems that Omegas can be quite sensitive when it comes to their electrics......So I'm off to the the techy/help forum for the first of my questions....how do I get the passenger door to open?! So guys (and girls) happ..happ..happy motoring... :y ;D.

Anyway, I am sure I will be extracting valuable knowledge from those of you here that are technically inclined. Thanks everyone for your warm welcome! Nice!  [smiley=dankk2.gif] :y

Anyway, spent a few hours yesterday repairing/replacing the parcel shelf sun blind. Works now! Couldn't work out why after undoing everything, the shelf still wouldn't come out. Resorted (after the obligotory effing and blinding >:() to brut strength. Shelf was stuck to window with the glass bonding stuff.

When I get the time and inclination :-/, I'll be looking at why the central locking won't open the front passenger door.

That Victor of mine...good old bus. Cream and yellow I think. Possibly column change but not sure. Worst Vauxhall driven..Probably another Victor..the FE. Drove like sitting in a sofa, and had the same handling traits as well. Nice lines (for the time), but prone to added ventilation and and foot spa due to metal worm. Best Vauxhall driven? I used an Astra estate at work. Seem to remember it was a 2.2 turbo intercooler. It was fast! (Especially when using the blues and twos)

Hi, yes i remember those times, it was when the bodywork of the Vauxhall could not keep ahead of the rust worm. Very good engines though.
