Hey guys, just bought my baby yesterday, will have pics up ASAP. Managed to get a 1996, ex-police MV6, in reasonable condition, for under £600, so think i did quite well!
Have a few plans for her, priority being - installing new speakers inside, stiffer/lower springs, exhaust system. Will be covering her in some big old stickers, not sure what yet, will speak to guy the guy who makes them to see what we can do.
How well do the 3.0 like air filters, or are they like most vauxhalls - and don't like them?
I am 20 year's old, and live JUST north of London, and will be looking to come to any meets if they are not too far away!

Welcome to site :)
Tech Q's best asked in appropriate section for best coverage.
Generally, the standard air filter is so good, that no performance gains in changing, and in many cases, makes it worse. Get a better noise off some other filters, if thats what floats your boat.

And can I just add - if I've done my maths correctly - this should be my final post as a newbie... :)

:)Welcome aboard Angelgrinder. You show fine taste in cars for your age. Try not to bar-stewardise it with big stickers unless you really have to. Look around on here at cars with some Irmshcer treatment if you're after modding it. They look really cool/mean without shouting about it!!!
That is only my opinion of course.
As regards induction kits etc, i've got a piper cross on mine because i like the noise!!! No difference in power or mpg in my case but not everyone on here likes 'em.
Suspension on MV6's is firmer than standard Migs but i see no harm if you want more.
Bit of a mixed bag of advice really.
Happy Migging. Post some piccies soon? [smiley=2vrolijk_08.gif]

Well, it's actually quite strange, I had a 2.0ltr 8v Calibra, which looked really nice, but was a bit slow. Found this 3.0ltr Omega (always wanted one - Big engine + RWD = Big fun) and was shocked to find it's the EXACT same price as my 115 BHP Calibra.
So i did the math - 210 BHP compared to 115 BHP with no difference in insurance.
Wasn't a hard choice.
The missus ain't too keen on it, especially when I bought it, but even she has admitted it's growing on her. Lovely cars, luxury, speed, and style.
Far far better than the little hatchbacks (never liked them - been a big car man my whole (short) life)
Cheers for comments guys.
P.s I pay £900 for TPFT a year - that's with no NCB, but have my first year coming round soon!
