Title: Omega UK300 Ltd Edition Newbie
Post by: wilkoca on 16 October 2007, 12:47:37
Just bought a 1996 2.0 Omega for silly money as a hack whilst the scoob has some work done on it and have been very suprised how much i enjoy driving the old girl.
MPG's way up on the other car (not suprisingly) and the ride far less harsh.
So taken am i that ive decided to spend some money on her and get her sorted.
Mot was dispensed with yesterday with no dramas.

Firstly their seems to be a far bit of condensation is this normal for this model, i suppose it could just because its been stood for sometime, ive bought a box of dehumidifying crystal to hopefully sort it.

Also on the back is a badge with UK300 Limited Edition No.80 i cant find any details pertaining to this model was it produced by Vauxhall or is it just a dealer special.

Oh also after a mid for the car - can you get them refurbed?

Cheers
Chris

Hi chris , Welcome to the forum mate. I think as to the badge on the back it has nowt to do with vx or the omega range.  :y

Howdoo and welcome to the forum.   :y

Might be better posting your queries in the tech section as not everyone looks in here.....    ;)

But very quickly.  Check the deadening felt under the passenger carpet.  If sodden, the pollen filter drain is blocked, probably leaves and other crud.  Easy job to do, filter on RHS beside wiper under flap.  Drains at front pass wheel.

Rear badge will probably be a dealer special....

Welcome :)

Hotel21's advice above is sound. Also, ensure the vents in the right hand cubby hole in the boot are kept clear.

:)Welcome aboard. Advice on condensation already given but glad you're enjoying the Mig. They're worlds apart from Scoobies but do have a certain charm to them. :y
