The plus side of diesels ;)

Aye, towing doesn't half sap it though! Our box van trailer brings it down to about 32, 30mpg at worst.
Though when the motor is running tip-top, we can easily see 48mpg.
Where in York did you get to?

I got 16mpg towing on gas

That must be one of the reasons they phased it out all those years ago :P

Not phased out - towing a van at road limits up and down the hills in Cornwall & Devon 16mpg on gas is fine for a V6 auto - compared to the 17mpg on petrol the 2.0 used to do.
41p a litre is not bad equivalent to over 35mpg on petrol.

Completely depends on what you want and what you get
Start at bits off a scrapper to £2000
Look at 6 cylinder kits on Ebay

I wouldn't mind fitting one as I have a Texaco that sells LPG just a mile up the road from me.
And it's only 42.9p a Litre, but I don't think I could stretch to 2 bags of sand!
I'll check ebay out though.
