Post by: Jinty on 24 December 2007, 23:35:35

Well it's certainly a new way to join the site !!  I can't believe a member would dink your car and drive away knowingly  ... and mines dark blue and I HATE golf .... ..   :)

"Hello" and welcome anyhow  :)

Thanks,
I don't even own an Omega myself but am happy to chat with anyone who may know the owner of said car - really pissed me off.  Golf Club was Bird Hills in Berkshire.  Your car looks good and what are you doing up at this time of night reading messages from a woman who has a bee in her bonnet.  I'm waiting for the kids to be sound asleep so I can put their Christmas stockings out and pressies under the tree.

Have a good Christmas

interesting topic starter, you will find that there are alot of people on at all hour of the day on here, we all a good bunch and as has been said dont think any of the members on here would even considder driving off without saying what had happened, infact i believe one member sat around and waited for the owner to come back.
now thats dedication for you .
merry christmas

Welcome to the site. Sorry to hear about your car. I think most meggy owners are probably a bit older - at least to the age where we'd happily hang someone for denting our cars and not stopping ;D I'm sure it would have been accidental but I hope you track them down. And Happy Christmas ;)

Thanks for your messages, I'm sure the owner probably lent it to his wife or son and doesn't know about it- but glad to know that there are conscientious Omega Owners out there.

PS Am I allowed to stay a member even if I don't have an Omega or should I leave?

:)Happy Festives Jinty. It's a new if unfortunate way to welcome a new member. As said already i doubt a forum member would damage your car and leave. I'd leave a note as i'd expect if someone scraped mine.
Now you're here by all means stay around, read further & feel free to post comments where you wish.
Sadly i don't think the Omega in question is one of "ours" as  i'm sure you would have heard by now.
        Regards, Guy. [smiley=2vrolijk_08.gif]

just a thought.  I know you are trying to tace the person that did this but if you fail, don't be tempted to immediately claim on your insurance.  After the excess and loss of NCD you could end up paying more than just taking it somewhere yourself.  Good luck with the detective work

Thanks everyone
I'm sure it's not one of your members knowingly but if anyone spots the b.....y car in the Slough, Maidenhead or Windsor area, please let me know.  I'm not feeling very forgiving even at this time of year.  Oops sounds like I'm p'd off and I am.
