Title: Hello
Post by: podwin on 26 March 2008, 10:09:15
Hi,

I'm looking to change my 2 cars for 1 Omega as I've always liked the look of them, so thought I'd join for some help and advice.

Welcome to the forum.

You will find loads of advice on fixing problems here. Also if you do a trawl through General help you will get a feel for what to look for. Things like oil in spark plug wells, when the timing belt and tensioners were last changed, doors creaking when opened and so on.

Hope you find a nice car.

Hi martin welcome to the forum mate, good luck with the car hunt, buy the best that you can afford and try to go for a car with some service history. check when then the CAM BELT AND TENSIONERS were changed and figure that they have to be changed every 40.000/4 years without fail. :y

Hi Martin, welcome to the forum  :y

Have a good read through the general help section and also the maintenance guides. They will give you a solid base of known faults before you buy.  8-)

Thanks everybody, it seems like a friendly place.

I've got my eye on a 1995 2.5TD CDX Estate for £950.

It's done 150,000 miles so I'm a little concerned about that plus the fact it's auto which may be a source of trouble.

Hello and from me! I'm Alex and I'm from Bulgaria. I found the forum by chance and i think that here is the place where I could find a lot of info about Omega. In Bulgaria we don't have that kind of forum and it's a shame.
