hi forum, never joined a forum or posted before.
I have just bought a X reg 2000 2.5 auto, estate, Elite, 75k seems clean to me - just love the toys on board - like all, I have lots of questions, not sure where to ask, guidence needed!
1. need some trim bits
2. would be great to meet other owners
3. best/cheap place for service?
Any help gratfully received

Hi there mate , dont worry we dont bite and we were all newbies at one stage, post up in the relevant section, ie general help for tech questions and ice /elec for radio./ wiring probs.
Service the car your self and save a fortune, and you will also know it is being done properly. :y

Howdoo, and welcome to OOF.
If you have a smattering of mechanical knowledge there is more than enough info on here to assist in maintaining your new car at the minimum of outlay and with the maximum of support.
Before anyone else says, the cambelt and tensioners are due to be replaced every 40k miles or 4 years despite what VX claim. Looks like yours is due soon.....
As Elite Pete says, there is a cambelt party coming up next month whereby a load of members are meeting up of a weekend and getting loads of assorted works done at 'mates rates' as it were. Check the meetings section for further details..... :y
