Hi Curly and welcome to OOF. :)

The best one to get depends on what you want from a car. On facelift models there are 2.2 4 cylinder, 2.6 V6, 3.0 V6 or 3.2 V6 petrol engines variants. If you want smoothness and power but not too thirsty I'd go for the 2.6 V6. Alternately, there's the 2.5 oil burner.

Welcome aboard. 2.0 autos can be juicy. Been told 2.5 manuals are reasonable on fuel. I get 24 ish on average use, 35 on a run. If going for a diesel beware of the autos, the box isn't the strongest (so i've heard on here) Also don't believe what your fuel display tells you. It might be right but best to put say £20 in, zero the trip & check your mileage when your gauge is back where it stared.
They all chew the juice a bit but it's worth it! :y
