Hi im currently looking to buy an Omega and this site has been highly recommended.
Im searching the small ads looking to replace my Mondeo ST and come back to Vauxhall.
Ive had corsas, astras and vectras and the family car is the Zafira so whilst im not doing the mileage I fancy an Omega.

Hi and welcome to this site. Buying an Omega is a good choice; over 20 years, from Cavelliars, Carlton's, Senator's, to Omega's covering about 400k miles on business, I have found them great comfortable cars, often well loaded and a joy to drive. Can be a bit juicy and some bills for replacement repairs can be a bit expensive. Just keep some money in reserve, or do the jobs yourself.

Hello and welcome to the OOF.
Omega: Excellent choice, suits you sir :y
I'm not in the market for a 2nd one, but there's a gorgeous one up for sale in the Classifieds on here actually. All kitted out with the Irmscher kit etc. If you liked your ST (and I did mine), and you don't mind the bigger engines for mileage, then you'll like this...

FORD, blxxdy FORD!! Do not blaspheme on this quality Omega site please, or we will have to let your tyres down! ;D ;D ;D ;D lol
No, seriously, I had and loved many Fords as company cars; Escort Mk1's, Cortina's Mk 3, 4 & 5 before going over to Vauxhalls for the 'all new' Cavalier in about 1980. The modern Ford's look and perform ok, so we cannot hold it against you! :D

On the mpg front I have just completed a round 220 mile trip between Ashford, Kent and Thatcham, Berks, using a whole mixture of motorway, congested urban and open rural roads, and returned 27.5 mpg in my auto 2.5 V6 Omega CDX, including having the climate control often set to 'low'. This I do not consider excessive mpg for this type of car with all the refinements it has.....and power! (YES, and I was frequently travelling at 80 mph+++ on the motorway (80% of the journey) sections.
Hope this helps make up your mind about the advantages of an Omega. :y :y
