Title: selling my omega on this site
Post by: kevoh on 14 July 2008, 21:54:05
Hello - just joined as I am trying to sell my 02 cdx leather on this site, seems a real shame I have to make 50 post to do so? I guess ebay will have to do.

"Hello" and Welcome :)

Ther 50 post limit is to stop folks joining just to sell .... the site is for enthusiasts .. not salesman ..

methinks we may not see much of you ..  :(

Hello Entwood.

I am very much an enthusiast of omegas and definately not a salesman.....just an normal person trying to stop salesmen at dealerships offering me stupid money for my part ex.... I thought another enthusiast may like to benifit from a very nice cheap omega....I also thought the welcome from Holy Count was far more friendly...maybe yor right, you will not hear much from me after all!

Hi and welcome. Please please keep your omega as they are the last and the best of the big rwd vauxhalls and there is no better car on the market and trust me when i say this because at the start of the year i did a 600 mile round trip to look at a 36,000 mile 18 month old 300c and on test drive the gear box went no joke and the engine and running gear is all merc so because of this i have kept my omega and i love it. :y

Hello and a warm welcome! :y

I agree with all the comment about keeping the Omega.  I have driven / owned many cars, including a new merc; apart from my Senator NOTHING matched my Omega's, including the one owned now! :y :y

Hi kevoh

I too am a newbie and have found the forum very helpfull.  I can see both sides of the argument.  I have two omegas and one has got to go.  Because I do not have enough posts I cannot post it on the sales, so even though it is mot'd till next year it will end up going to the local crusher.  As has been said though how do the forum know if you are a salesman or not, I have heard of it being done on other forums.

Good luck whatever you decide.  If you don't manage to sell it.  I have been told that they are worth quite abit as scrap.

Hi Kevoh, hope you decide to keep the mig, but welcome either way. I think we have a few members who don't always have omegas but like the forum anyway.  :y
