After 3 months of searching I have found a replacement for my cherished wreck – The 98 Omega not the wife. ;DI am now the proud owner of a 03, 2.6, v6, CDX, Est. In other words a nice tidy Omega that hopefully will give me a few years service before G. Brown bleeds me dry in RFL and Petrol Tax.
A quick issue I need help sorting:
The Radio/Cd is in safe mode and no passport with the car. Can anyone tell me if the procedure is the same for the pre-facelift ICE – That is get the serial number off the back of the device and find someone with the necessary decoding programme to provide the 4 digit code? And as this is a single unit do I need one or two codes? Many thanks...
:yPS. If anyone is interested in a met green 98 CDX 2.5 V6 that is average condition, spotlessly clean, had a new cam kit (done properly), water pump, aux belt, two premium tyres, cam cover gaskets in the last two months topped off with 10 months MOT, and drives sweeeeeet. Drop me a PM. I’ll put up a sale post with some pictures.

Hi and welcome to the forum ;)

Welcome :)
For radio, you can try a decoding service, or get a new carpass from Vauxhall - shop around as dealers charge from £15 - £50 for this.

Thanks All -
I have ordered the new Keys, one with remote the other with just the chip and a complete Car Pass, (I also needed the Radio Code - see above) from our local Vaux dealer through a mate that works there. £115 the lot which I thought was pretty good.
Booked in next week to have the keys coded to the car.
