Quite new to this site... in fact quite new to omegas as well for that matter but seeing as i have recently got mine i thought this seemed like a good place to begin...
Anyways managed to pick up a real bargain on ebay for this one!
£600 for a P ('96) Omega Tourer 2.5 V6, only 100k on the clock in 12yrs, full history, full tax, and near enough full MOT... Also came with nice little carbon fibre trim inserts around the gear stick, and in the doorcards, and i found a carbon fibre heating console as well on ebay so about to put that in.
If anyone has any advice or knows of anything to watch out for on this particular model then that would be much appreciated! From reading through the site it seems that popular upgrades are getting it chipped and getting uprated camshafts...
Main use for this car (as with most omegas i guess) is simply cruising up and down the M1 or such like. Anyone able to recommend somewhere i can get some new brakes, ie: drilled, grooved, vented discs and performance pads... and also new set of suspension.
The only current issue with the car is a knocking sound coming from the front axle when going over speed bumps, kerbs, etc... I was told when buying the car that this is the "anti roll bar linkages" so any tips for solving this?
Anyway cheers for reading, will hopefully be getting more involved on the forum within the near future.

Hello & Welcome :y
Most people find Genuine GM disks and pads more than adequate.
Your clunk will be droplinks, which are easy to change.
-
Hi Gus and welcome to the forum :)
As Jimbob says the knocking will more than likely be the droplinks ;)

Welcome to OOF :y
Knocking deffo droplinks - about £9 ea off ebay (look for FIA ones) - 1 hour total to fit.

Hello and welcome to OOF!
I would go under the car, and check for play in the drop links.
If theres any, change them, only a 10 min job! :y
I would get genuine GM ones though, there not expensive - iirc about a year ago, I bought some for my vectra, and they were about £10-15 ish each from VX. :)
