Hi all, been lurking around for a while and have been reading with interest all the topics and thought I'd better register and introduce myself.
Have had a V6 3.0 Elite for about a month now and previously driving an 06 plate Golf GTI, my Omega ownership been a new experience to say the least!! The reason for buying an Omega was easy. I've recently started up my own company which will involve covering large mileages which I know the Omega will just eat up, and in great comfort. I had a drive up to Leeds last week, and didn't feel like I'd covered any miles at all - the Omega makes it so easy.
JamesV6Elite (I'm sure you all know him on here!!) came round yesterday to give the Omega a full service including a cambelt change etc etc. As usual, I was fed the usual bullshit by the dealer that it was recently serviced including oil, filters, cambelt etc etc, but my eyes were opened well and truly when James discovered a whole list of things that weren't done. Fookin dealers, born liars I tell ya!
After a long day freezing our proverbials off, and many many brews later, James finished the job and what a difference he made. He did a fantastic job, and he's probably saved me an expensive repair bill somewhere down the line! So cheers James, nice one mate!!
Right, I'll stop talking now. Laters.

Yes, those metal filings in the cambelt tensioner were not a good sign.
And the oil filter housing - what a b@stard - whoever fitted the last oil filter, wants shooting.... ;D
