Hey everybody, I've seen this site many times and found some things for sale and was wondering...if it's possible to change the ECU for the 3.0 V6 in a "Catera" wich is essentially an Omega B, and replace it with the ECU from AN ORIGINAL Omega B. I wonder this because here in the USA, when GM brought the Omega over, they essentially detuned it from 211bhp to 200 due to emissions.
I've seen tuning chips on ebay.de and the like and believe they work well. First thing is to get an original Omega ECU and replace it with the US version due to the HP changes and the Mapping. Then, replace the chip in the Omega with the uprated Mapping and should have 232bhp and around 220lb-ft correct? I was also worried if i would need the transponder unit and keys as well considering the immobiliser unit has a chip in the key.
Regardless, it's great to see many people with the same car as I do, and MANY guides! Here's a couple pictures of my ride. Feel free to comment on any upgrades as I will be doing many.
1. Black Projector Headlights
2. Pontiac GTO Front Calipers with Drilled/Slotted Rotors and C5
Corvette Front Pads

4.White LED Underglow

Arh that's better. I do love your boot lid (trunk). You'll wake one morning & find it missing ;D
Only kidding chap :y
Though i would like one like that, i'll have to look into the cons of getting one :)

Well, from some people I've heard that it's a pain to get out, and it's solder joints are not quality. Some people have problems with it flickering on and off but i've had no trouble with this! I was actually thinking about getting a boot lid like the ones from a facelift model, with the Opel badge and lettering [no keyhole] to replace it, and custom fit Pontiac GTO taillights instead of the regular brake lights!
Anyway thanks for the laugh and you'll see me around here alot!

Hello & Welcome :y

Thanks everybody! The grills are made of high quality mesh wich I have two of, one chrome one black. They fit OK, but since the grill selection in the States means you have to buy from overseas, I decided to make my own. I do plan on using the facelift front bumper and hood, as i LOVE the styling and elegant look. 8-)
