Title: Omega headlghts
Post by: Deva1992 on 15 January 2009, 23:21:49
Hello All
Deva1992 checking in and a pleasant good evening to all. .
I drive a 1994 M reg 2.5 v6 cdx auto commonly known in my household as "the big fella".
I'm looking to upgrade my headlights as my current ones are original and, like their owner, showing signs of wear!  Basically they're opaque so visibility at night is not the best.
I'm looking at headlights from pre facelift omegas, 94-99 models.  Does anyone if the clear lens headlights will fit my 94 spec car please?
Cheers and love forum by the way.

hi deva & welcome, if your lenses are yellowish use "t" cut on them & a finer polish to finish :y

Hello and welcome -- as said above, a fine cut and polish will help in the meantime.  In due course replacements can be had from the spare parts section as several of our members regularly break the beasts  :y

Hello, Cestrian born and bred and for my sins I am a Chester season ticket holder (one of the very few!) and I do live in Chester.
Thanks again to all for the welcome and advice

Welcome  :y, and as has been said before in this thread, polishing the lenses seems to be the best first attempt at improvement - it's cheap & easy :y

Thanks for that
Yes I've had a dabble with the t cut and max wax this afternoon and it has indeed made my lighting situation more luminous - I still think I will get around to changing the headlights though - as & when finances allow.  I've only had the car in the family since it was new in 1994 and it really is a case of work in progress!  Trouble is there's not been much work or progress done really, but one day.......  ;D

Thanks
After today's performance I'm questioning the wisdom of the purchase this season's ticket!  :o
Hope to make the meet tomorrow and meet as many of you as possible, some of you may take pity on me and actually talk to me too!   ;D Obviously fingers crossed for the weather, it's pretty grim outside right now.
