Thought I'd stop hiding in the corner and say hi.

Just bought a 2001 2.2i CDX auto estate, thought it was a bargain but have since found lots of bits to keep me busy (like to do as much as I can without using garages).

Need to get brakes sorted (think one of the front discs is warped) and the cambelt is about ready for replacing (DVD on its way) so will be grovelling for help at every opportunity!!

Despite the issues I'm loving the car, its comfy and nice to drive, if not a bit thirsty !! Am looking forward to the annual drive to Cornwall in it later this year.

Welcome aboard. I thought your 2.2 was chain driven but after looking it's some of the later Veccies are chain driven, Z22SE is chain, Z22XE is belt driven.
