Hello all. Brilliant Forum! Sorted out my uncontrollable power sounder following Forum advice.
Now I need to make a decision about cambelts (2.6 V6 2002, 81000 miles!!!). I looked at the DVD - really informative - but I'm wary about starting the job 'cos for me things never go back the way they came out - or something breaks on the way out ...
Any recommendations as to somebody experienced who could do it for me (West Midlands) for a reasonable fee. I've got the cambelt kit already, but no locking kit.
Thanks all - Kevin

Welcome to OOF Kevin :y Hopefully there's going to be a cambelt meet soon and fairly local (to us both) or if you don't want to wait then have a chat with JamesV6/ElitePete/LooKnee, they all are highly recommended :y

Welcome to OOF :y
Not a difficult job if you follow DVD. Note some items may not come off as easily as on DVD and may need assistance!! (hammer ;) )

Hello and welcome :y The guys mentioned above know their way backward around an Omega and don't cost anywhere near what a stealer will remove from your bank balance ;)

Welcome Kevin, and good luck with the cambelt kit, got to do mine soon. Probably let somebody else do it though I don't trust myself!

Welcome to the forum :y. Fitting a cambelt can look a bit scary. i did mine last year (cambelt party feb 08) It is much easier when there are people around you that have done it a few times. gives you a big boost in confidence when you get that sort of help.
By the way (replace the waterpump at the same time) you have to strip down the same parts to get at the pump so you may as well

Do you need any exprience before you start off in a boot camp?
Any one recommended near London?
