Hi all
I am new to this as ghyou may tell. Just bought R reg Omega 2.5 TD CDX Auto Estate with the BMW engine. I have a couple of questions I was hoping someone here could answer.
1 Where on earth can I get a car maintance book from that covers this BMW engine.
2 I bought the car off my farther who had just had a job done on the steering. He then found he had a small leak of oil over the left hand side of the engine compartment. He traced this to a small black device which has 3 small pipes comming off it, only one was still attached. One of the pipes (with a blue stripe) goes to what looks like a small flying saucer on the side of the engine the other one I have ytet to trace where it goes. Can anyone help?
3. The drivers door lock does not go all the way down when using central locking. It also refuses to lift up 70% of the time when using central locking.
4. The LCD display in the middle of the dash board has broken text. Is this repairable or has thge whole display got to be changed?
Thanks for any help.

"Hello" and welcome :)
Ask your questions in "General Help" as more of them-that-know read there than here ..
If you stick your car details and location in your profile it'll save you being asked a zillion times :)

Hello and welcome to OOF! :y
I’m not that familiar with these engines (yet!) but the flying saucer sounds like the EGR Valve (Exhaust Gas Recirculation). If it is that, the pipe will go from the EGR, to a little solenoid valve which is around the top of the suspension strut area on the passenger side of the car.
But you would be better reposting your problem in the 'Help' section!
