yesterday i parked the motor next to the local river near downham market and went kayaking.
on returning to the start point i noticed my bluetooth mirror power lead hanging down and panicked thinking that i had a break-in.
after hopping out of the boat and running over to the car i noticed the mirror gone with the power lead dangling, but no signs of a break-in??? we sat there and decided that the thief must have had some sort of key to get in but was disturbed half way through the steal and only got the mirror unit.
this morning while sorting out the kit in the back i found the mirror on the passenger rear floor, after looking at it have deduced that the glue that binds the rubber grips (that go over the existing mirror) got so hot that it melted -releasing the hold on the metal clamp portion and slid off, then it dropped onto my drivers seat, bounced off of it on to the floor.
lordy i was scratching my head all evening!!!!!!
