Title: Quick price check...
Post by: PaulW on 26 August 2007, 23:14:39
Before I jump in and buy something which is priced up too much, what would you reckon...

3Ltr Elite,  99 (T or V reg), in black.

Mileage around 70 to 120k, service history, good MOT & TAX

??

If you can find a 99 omega with 70000 on it, you'll be doing well. These cars are bought for motorway work, and an ex-rep......gazillions of miles :-?

:DCaptain Kirk used many Omegas that are on the second hand market. I paid £950 for mine with 1yrs MOT & 6 months tax 12 months ago, with 95k then £235 for cambelt full kit, so i'm guessing for a similar cdx maybe £200 more? Mine is all leather but do'nt think that makes much odds at this age.
I reckon about £1200 is a fair price but cheaper on flea bay. :y

at the ABSOLUTE most i would be looking at 2K, however for that i would want a low mileage, immaculate with history and needing nothing doing, 12 month MOT and 6 month TAX as well

Aye, just over a grand should see you right. Check tyres as well, they're a few quid to change if low. Has it got a warranty? That can be worth something in itself  :y

My V reg (Dec 99) Elite presently sitting at 69992  !!!  :) As SWMBO wants to go to Bourton-on-the-Water today we'll have a 70,000 mile birthday on the way  :)

Vehicle history from before I bought it was a Lease Hire car used by a firms managing director ... at the time it was 3 years old with 28,000 showing.... which is why SWMBO was ignored when she moaned about the registration plate !!!

:)
