Hi All, First let me say what a great site :)  I've always liked big vx ever since my dad got an old senator about 25 years ago. Anyway I've just took the plunge and bought a 2001 mv6 2.6 auto (lpg converted) work in London, but live northwest. I've had a good read of the site but I need some advice on an oil change. How does the later paper element filter housing come off? does the top come off or the whole thing unscrew? I look forward to replies. Cheers Nick

Hello Nick and a very warm welcome to you! :y

You unscrew the 'lid' of the oil filter canister using the hexagon integral 'nut' top. This gives access to the paper cartridge which can simply be extracted ;) You have to be very careful not to 'tear' the filter housing from it's mountings, so try not to use excessive force when both unscrewing or screwing the lid. ;) ;)
