Title: My first service

Hi guys...  I'm about to carry out a service on my 2001 2.2 auto and feel the auto fluid and filter need changing as I cannot find any receipts which shows it has been changed in the past, present mileage is 92,000.
Is this a difficult task, as a garage I've been using says it is and expensive ???? any help please   :y
