Evening All. 

First post. Toying with the idea of buying an Omega. I'll lurk without posting until I decide on what I'm looking for most likely.

Yeah, by all means. Assuming Ascona is a certain german product from several years ago, there's a world of difference between the two!

I've been very mk2 cav biased for the last 5 years and the ascona I was thinking of was the FWD C  ;D

Always been made to feel very welcome by the Cav Mk II owners clud / Cav Convertible club at various events.

Oh, out of interest theres a late-model convertible near me down a driveway looking quite unloved. Probably going to ask the owner about it at some point... Keep you posted, if you like  :y

Currently on Gardening Leave due to redundancy (no pay out but 3 months notice) so If I can get a contract engineering / interim job, I'll have some money to play with, but if not I'll be very skint come sept.

Start a new job (50 week contract) in telford tomorrow. 
Replaced the head gasket on the astra last week.  I changed the oil and oil filter but I think the water in the oil can't have helped. Still it got me to my B&B okay this afternoon.
