Hi there everyone,
Not sure if this is the right place to post. But some one could point it put to me if it's not.
I have a 2.5TD omega, 95. I went over a few bumps at speed and started getting a slight knocking noise, initially when reversing, but then getting worse.
I removed the plastic tray from underneath and noticed the fan belt was half chewed away where the pulley was rubbing against the anti-roll bar.
I'm sure the anti-roll bar isn't meant to be that high up. I’m not sure why it has moved up, how much of a gap should there be between it and the pulley. The wishbones on both sides had been replaced about 5000 miles ago so surely it’s not them again?
Any ideas? I could really do with some photos or pictures of the anti-roll bar and it’s proximity to the fan belt pulley.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Ali
