Title: Prowd Omega owner
Post by: Boditza on 09 May 2010, 20:27:44
I just bought a 2002 omega estate with 2,2 diesel engine. i don't know what version it is but it has leather interior, xenon with auto adjuster(sensor doesn't work), heated seats (driver doesn't heat up) auto level suspension (normal shock absorbers are installed now because the sensor isn't working) navi ncdc 2015, el mirrors and windows and webasto wich also doesn't start :(

Tomorow i will get it into a service and change all the filters, front suspension, oil, brake fluid and accesories belt with torsioner. these i have in mind but who knows what will come up there :).

I know it has a few problems but i got it with 3500 euros and i figure it will cost me another 1500 but i will have a car in mint condition that will go on for many miles :).

P.S. i also have electric roof but that doesn't work either :P.. from the switch i guess
Apparently i can't upload pictures but i will upload them on another site and post the links here:

How do matey & welcome to the OOF :y :y

Your Omega looks well 8-) 8-)

You'll need a 36mm socket & extension bar for the oil filter :y

Be prepared for much swearing with the fuel filter, i hate changing this one :(
Do not remove the pipes from the top of the fuel filter housing as this will create a air lock which is a pain to sort >:(

How does it work?

you set the time for it to start ex 7am and you have to get in the car for work at 8am and by that time the engine water will be warm and the car interior

Wow very cool! I did not know this system existed for the Omega... It's an aftermarket or genuine? How can I buy and install one? ^^

Asked a local dealer today and the installation would cost 2400€ (2.034,58 £) !!!!!
I will not do so immediately ^^

that is a sure rip-off :(... you could just get one from ebay or something and ask a local service to install it on the car.
