Title: oil leak

hi im new to this, just thought id give it a go to try and get some advise, I brought an omega 3 mths ago its a 2.5v6 cdx auto on a V plate, I have a oil leak the underneath is covered in oil so much that there is traces of oil on the wheels, obviously been blown about when driving, top of engine is clean but down right hand side near the top there is oil, and i have topped up coolant twice in 3 mths after warning came up on dash, sometimes there is a slight bit of white smoke from exhaurst but no loss of power, does anyone know where to start,

Wellcom rob, i`ll give idea
first you have to wash the oil from the engine and every where
then observe the engine and possoble area of the leak then you can exactly decide the leak source.
for now i can think of dozen reasons of that
