Title: 2.2 auto box

My 2.2 auto estate is giving me a headache the auto box seems to have mind of it's own. It changes fine at first but the goes into neutral then jumps into top with a thump. Stop turn off the ignition then restart and it seems to be okay. Could this be the ECU or something internal.
