Title: Passed!!!!
Post by: amigov6 on 03 September 2007, 22:47:18
My p&j paid back all the pampering today by flying through her MOT without so much as an advisory.
Looking forward to another 13 months Migging!!! Not big news i know but given my financial situation it's a big relief to me. 8-)

SWMBO's Astra had its MOT last Friday.
It failed  :'( Both rear springs had the bottom coil snapped. (Vauxhall only want £180 for a pair of springs :o) and the FOS McPherson strut top bear FUBAR'd

How old is it? I think a trip to the bay is in order for you my friend! I wouldn't bother with genuine springs, just a good brand  :y

I completely agree, I don't mind spending money at Vauxhall to a point. With somethings it works out cheaper in the end to fork out as you'll only do the job once, but I drew the line at that price for road springs. There's now a set on from a motor factor ..... £68 for the pair! :)
The strut top is still in hand, having to go to work yesterday afternoon got in the way of car repairs ;)

It's a 52 plate car.
