Title: Newby revisiting the omega world after 5 years
Post by: charge on 07 May 2011, 19:42:44
Just dropping a line to introduce myself here, and celebrate Omega ownership after a five year absence!
Had a '96 3.0 elite estate in 2004 for a year, and loved it! Moved into BM's and Audi's, but then the guy I bought the last omega from offered me his 2000 year 3.2 elite estate last week, 80k miles, one previous owner, and I couldn't resist.
First impressions are lovely comfy ride (again) awesome Bose system and brill xenons, not to mention punchy engine.
I am trying to source soom bits to bring her right up to scratch.
I could do with a replacement tail gate as my one is dented, along with a new rear bumper (if I could find them in blue it would be a half hour fix), and the drivers door pocket that is a little door is cracked.
The guy I bought the car from bought a replacement card, but without the leather, and on investigation it looks impossible to swap the little doors over without wreaking them, so could do with a door card set in cream.
Other than that, what a beast, and all for--a barely credible £350!  :y

Gosh, thankyou for the warm welcome!
I am not a forum master as I always seem so busy, and my main activity to date has been on Pistonheads.
But you get tired of clever alecs trying to trip you up with every question or coment you make.
Glad to see everyone here seems a bit more laid back (like the cars I suppose).
Total opposite on P/H, espetially the BM pages, really anal, uptight people on there !(makes sence I suppose ;D)
