Title: Memory seats
Post by: boss on 13 July 2006, 13:22:30
Right my seats all work ok, but I'm at a loss as how to use the actual memory part??

It seems that I cant save the seat and mirror settings or recall them??

Ideas anyone? Is there a trick to this?

The seat and mirror position is stored by pressing the M button and one of the number buttons together

Set up seat and when happy just press the M and either the 1,2, or 3 button, for a couple of seconds.
That should remember you position till it is overwritten.
But I presume you have done this already, and it doesn't work!

Yep have done this......as it says in the owners manual.

I see from the wiring diagrams that the exterior mirrors, interior mirror and seats are all wired through an ecu of some sorts.

As all functions but the memory work, could the fault be with the ecu/memory part?

Its possible but, it could also be the permanent live feed at fault resulting in altsiemers

Trying moving the seat to a completely random position and then press and hold one of the number buttons...

I suspect you have saved the same position in all three memories, and unless you move the seat out of position, nothing will happen because the seat is already in the stored position :y
