No1 - Are the Omega cruise control stalks all the same regardless of age? - just that i plan to fit CC to mine (2.2 DTi CD) and have been very reliably informed by a trusted vaux electrical guru that its just a straight swap of stalks, and i thought they were all the same, but some questions on ebay about a CC stalk suggested otherwise...as the seller replied to a question fromthe potential buyer, asking him if he knew it was the correct one.
& No2 - The dash vents on Omega's, are they all the same regardless of year?...the passenger side vent in mine (2000 X facelift) is tinkered and i have seen one on ebay but its from a 99 reg preface, but it look's identical...and how do they come out/off too?
& No3 - is it possible to fit the twin-tone horn from other Omega's onto my DTi?...the DTI's come with a single tone unit as standard for some reason that is un-benown to me, and it sounds absolutely dreadful, like a bloody toy car IMO, certainly not befitting the size and presence of the vehicle.
Many thanks in advance people :)

1. 2.5TD stalk is different, all others the same. CC may need enabling via Tech2 in ECU
2. Not sure, sorry
3. Can't see why not.

Cheers matey...i did ask the lad who told me about the CC fitment about Tech2, and he says it wont need it as it has all the stuff it need's already, and is plug & play so to speak.
I really cant understand why Vaux fitted the single tone horn to the DTi's...unless there is a space issue where it mounts?

I gave my last stalk to tunnie, so can't even give you a stalk to try. Some are enabled in ECU, some are not. In case of petrol drive-by-wires, its usually about a 50:50 chance, don't know about DTi

I believe the 2 air vents are the same (though can't be positive), I strangely enough was looking at a facelift, pre-fact lift next to one another a couple of weeks back and was looking at the differences internally. The airvents looked to be identical, though as I say, can't guarentee this as not sure what they are like underneath, mounting etc.
If it's cheap enough, give it a try! you could always re-list if not.

Roll the vent so that it is pointing down and then get your fingers on one side of it and prise it out part way and then repeat the other side.

Ahh, sounds easy enough, cheers James...James as in Waddington? :)

There is info in the instruemnt panel removal maintenance guide.
If its just the vent flaps being very loose/pushed in then you can normaly clip them back in to fix it.

Cheer's Mark, i'll have a look at that guide, sounds simple enough though.
As for the vent, it's abit more gone than that...the adjuster is missing as are a few of the flaps/fins...and others are damaged, look's like its been booted TBH >:(

Hmmm, if you could "pull" a couple of the (horizontal) vanes out, once you've got a replacement (and assuming they're black) - I'd be interested in exchanging for beer tokens.

I dont think they are Black mate, they are covered in that horrid Grey rubbery shyte that Vauxhall appear to like coating everything in nowadays...to make it feel better...IMO it looks and feels cack, and even worse as it gets marked and comes off overtime.
