Hi all, ive just found out i have a gearbox oil leak, its coming from the passenger side and ending up on the exhaust ( thats how i found out..... ahhh the smell of burning gearbox oil, yummy NOT) I just aint got a clue wat steps i should take.
I tow a caravan around but wont be doing so anymore this year. So there wont be a strain of that.
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated
Many thanks in advance

Firstly i think you're gonna have to get it jacked up and clean it down, that way you'll be able to see for sure exactly where it is coming from. :-?
There is a How2 over on 'The OtherPlace' explaining how to remove the sumps and replace the gaskets and fluid, you can find it here (http://www.vauxhallownersnetwork.co.uk/showthread.php?t=62232).
A place to start anyway, could just be the gasket.

I spose changing/cleaning the filter while your in there aint gonna do any harm either.

Is the leak coming from the front or the back of the Autobox?

Seems to be coming from the front where it joins to the engine????
