im getting a brake pad warning on my mid but when i checked the pads they were fine. one thing i thougt was strange was that the small wires for the sensors were not even connected. im a bit confused can anybody shed some light??

it could be they have snapped at some point and fallen off.
Trace the wire to where it ends.... strip the 2 wires down, and fuse them. Seal with some insulating tape.
Do this on both sides and the message will go away.
Usually the pad warning comes on with a 3rd of the pad left, mine are fused and tucked up out of the way.

Mine are shorted out as well, plenty of pad left though. Just check the condition of your pads first

thanx guys i think thats the prob the wires have snapped and their touching metal

The wires should be connected together, an open circuit will bring the warning on.

Another option could be getting a new sensor from vx dealer about £12 iirc
