Hi guys,
Am currently shredding my fingers trying to get the climate panel to release on my pre facelift MV6 - Marksdtm has kindly donated a new sampling fan to get the cc working correctly.
Any pointers? I know there is a bar thing but for the life of me can't see it!!
-
NM - sorted!!!
Once it came off & I could see the catch I was like ahhhhhhhhhhh!
-
Yeah, glad you sorted it, its kinda difficult to explain otherwise. Obvious once you've seen it though.
Haynes has a piccies of the unit which is handy if you haven't got it out before...
-
sick now......sampling fan still doesnt work after replacement & one of the bulbs has now gone!!!!
-
I guess the driver has failed then :(
-
The bulbs frequently fail, I'd replace all 5 anyway.
Fixing the sampling fan may be more of a problem though...
-
Yeah ,least I know how to change the bulbs now lol!
Working on a solution for fan..... ;)
-
Okay - have sourced a replacement climate panel ! Will update...................
-
Is it from estate or saloon, as they have different configs?
-
Saloon luckily! Didnt know the estates were any different! Thanks for the heads up!

To pull the bar down, I cut a notch in the end of an old screwdriver, makes life easier. If you have ever thought of having coloured bulbs, now is the time, mine are red and look good (to me anyway)
::)
-
Will stick with original bulbs for the time being although tempted! ;)
Well, new climate panel installed & I can now get heat when appropriate (not just on HI setting)
Thing is CC works,or appears to work in every respect but am getting the -- on shutdown in the temp display when I turn off ignition! I am aware they indicate a fault so tried resetting (auto & off 5 secs) & disconnecting battery (that power sounder is LOUD!) to no avail.
Any ideas? Have a mate with access to a tech2 so may have to that route though don't like to bother him for minor stuff.

The ECC does store fault codes that can be read with Tech2, so may be worth checking what those faults are....
