Title: Cars needed please for Geometry
Post by: wheels-inmotion on 30 September 2006, 18:34:32
wim is training staff at Kipling's Motorist Centres next week and i would welcome members the chance to become part of this program. This opportunity involves a nominal fee and supports the usual fine-tune directive that wim commands.

All variants are welcome albeit domestic/road or race, anyone tempted please make this visible or contact wim through the usual routes.
Thank You

Sounds like a real bargain - proper geometry for a nominal fee.  If it wasn't for the fact WIM has already done mine (though due another check Tony ;)) I would jump at the chance....

Is there a Kipling's Motorist Centre in the West Midlands?

My geometry really needs attention. Got inside tyre wear that makes me wince every time I look at it!

A Google search shows that Kiplings are in Crawley, Sussex, but I'm in North London.. Bit too far to travel this coming week as I'm a bit busy.

North London is ideal for WIM's main place in Watford - see http://www.wheels-inmotion.co.uk :)

That's very true. I may well take the car there, but as the geometry is well out of shape, I think it will take quite a bit of cash to rectify it. (There's usually a charge per adjustment and, I think the Omega has more than the average number of adjustable components). I was hoping to get a bargain fix!! ;)

With my A/C system still kaput (see other thread), I don't feel like spending any more money on the car at the moment. This year it has drained my resources...and being a '95, it's worth two bob and a bag of marbles!! ;D

Call or email Tony via his website, mention this place for a small discount and see what prices he quotes.  I reckon it will be cheaper than a new pair of front tyres ;)

Hi. pity there isn't a depot around Merseyside, mine really needs a full geometry check, but I don't know of anywhere local that does it.

For this club the fee is locked.... so even if all the angles need adjusting and it takes five hours it's the same fee.... in addition the 2000 mile fine-tune including adjustments is free.

This particular offer with Kipling is just a chance for some to get the same results at Kipling's expense......

Where are the Kipling Centres?

This really is a good opportunity to get your Omega's properly aligned, and it sounds like for a good price  [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

This offer is open between the 3rd-7th October.

And that is a cracking bargain, worth travelling for!  For little more than standard tracking, you can get the car properly aligned, and checked 2k later.  Having had WIM do their magic on my MV6, I would thoroughly, thoroughly recommend this offer!

Hemel's just a short trip on the M1 for me. :)

... so when it's done, does Kipling give you some of his exceedingly good cakes? ;)

(sorry, couldn't resist!  ;D)

Oh Jeee - I wish it was a little bit closer! It's a bit of a run up from Bristol and could anyone look after the kids for me?

They couldn't do my geometry on Wednesday as a nearby BT transmitter was interfering with their new machine! Anyway, got it done today and have to say the guys at Kiplings are really good. Unusually for a garage, there is a happy atmosphere!

The camber on the offside front was WELL out. The maestro, Tony (Wheels In Motion), sorted it out and gave me a good tutorial on geometry - some of which I understood!! ;D ;D ;D ;D

Strange to now drive a car which goes where you point it!!  Thanks to Tony (PM sent) and Mark.

Here's the maestro with the high-tec geometry gizmo:

Its amazing the difference it makes. All this simple tracking and 4 wheel alignment is rubbish compare to the real thing.  The handling of my MV6 is transformed since Tony did his magic...

I've said it before, Tony really does understand geometry...

I would love to get my geometry done but, there is no where close that can be trusted.
Matchless used one of the places in nottingham and then sent the results to Tony and they were basicaly not great (the back end of his car realy wanders!)....what we could do with is a set of values so we can just say....set them to these please.
