Heres one Guys. any advice greatly appriciated. Auto selection in daylight & without lights on I'm getting a nice bright yellow indicator to show which one is selected. But as soon as you switch on lights this goes out & nothing can be seen. I'm not sure what should be happening. Should the P R N D 123 light up whilst the lights are on? If so any possible remedies from you Guys with the know how. Thanks, Big Al

I don't think they do all light up when lights on, only the function selected, same as with lights off...

Thanks for replying. The selected yellow dot indicator goes out when you turn lights ON. Should this stay on, but dimmer than when lights are off? Or should the P R N D etc. itself light up to which ever one is selected? Have not had an auto before so I'm not sure. Big Al

I'll have to check next time I'm in it.... :-[

The P,N,D,1 ...etc should stay lit up with either lights on or off, and obviously the wee dot should only light up which gear you have selected. These are also controlled to the dash brightness control under the light switch, so check that you haven't got that turned down too far.
After that it must be a contact somewhere, but god knows where you start.
First question would be, have you been fiddling anywhere recently, and might have disturbed anything?
We had a long conversation about this very thing at the jockular meet yesterday, as 2 of the guys are suffering the same thing as you.
Good luck.

Bulb should dim as said above. Either it is a tow element bulb, or has a wiring fault.
